PJM EXPANDS WITH A NEW LOCATION IN SILKEBORG

On October 1st, PJM opened a new location, marking the next phase in the development of our business. While Fårevejle remains our headquarters, our presence in Ballerup and Silkeborg enables us to strengthen our geographical reach across Denmark.

At the Silkeborg location, we will be able to carry out commissioning and testing of automation solutions, as well as support the development of prototypes and proofs of concept for new automation concepts. As a fully integrated part of PJM, our new location will be an important addition to Fårevejle, where the majority of our projects, including engineering, production and assembly, will continue to be based.

PJM’s CEO Benny Smith explains: “Silkeborg is an important step in PJM’s development. Our ambition is to strengthen our organisation as a whole and create even better conditions for innovation, collaboration and growth. This enables us to draw on a wider range of expertise and create even more value for our customers.”

CLOSER TO TECHNICAL EXPERTISE IN WESTERN DENMARK

Our Ballerup hub has strengthened PJM’s presence in Greater Copenhagen and brought us closer to both specialists and customers in the capital region. Now the time has come to turn our attention westwards – more specifically, to Central Jutland.

With a location in Central Jutland, we are getting closer to specialists in and around the region, so a job with us no longer has to involve long commutes or a move to Zealand. It also means we can offer new employees a local community of colleagues closer to home, while they work on exciting projects in strong professional environments across the organisation.

Morten Jürgensen is one of our new colleagues who has joined us in Silkeborg. He says:

“I chose to join PJM because they offer an innovative approach to special-purpose machinery, and it is exciting to be involved from the outset in establishing the new PJM location. I am excited to see how things develop in the near future and look forward to building machines in the PJM spirit.”

Silkeborg also brings us closer to students, educational institutions and development environments in Central Jutland. This creates new opportunities to collaborate on innovation and development projects and to build relationships with future generations of technical specialists.

FLEXIBLE CAPACITY FOR FUTURE PROJECTS

The new location in Silkeborg is also an investment in PJM’s future capacity. With projects and specialists spread across several locations, we gain greater flexibility in our planning and production.

At the same time, this geographical spread strengthens our resilience. It reduces vulnerability and puts us in a stronger position to respond to growth, changing market needs and unforeseen events.
This creates a strong foundation for scaling and developing our business without compromising either quality or delivery reliability.

COMPETENCE CENTRE FOR PHARMA AND MEDICAL DEVICES

Over time, Silkeborg will develop into a competence centre combining advisory services with project-based development. We aim to be a strategic partner for our customers, from product development through to a complete automation solution. During the product development phase, we will be able to offer advice on concepts and technology to help ensure that the final product is designed for automation and production.

Michael Johansen, Head of Business Development and day-to-day manager of the Silkeborg location, says: “As production requirements become more complex, we see a growing need to bring specialist knowledge into play in the early stages of a project. Through practical advice, workshops, digital simulations and production optimisation, among other services, we aim to support our customers’ critical decision-making processes.”

By strengthening our expertise in process and product design, we aim to further enhance our ability to help customers realise automation potential, reduce project risks and create a stronger foundation for future investments.

With a stronger presence across Denmark, PJM will have even better opportunities to bring expertise, knowledge and experience together in a shared development environment. Our ambition is to create the conditions for closer collaboration with customers, educational institutions and technology partners, thereby accelerating the development of tomorrow’s automation solutions.
